Checking website ranking in a very accurate manner could be very difficult, particularly if you are asked to do it monthly, until you use some rank-checking software. The idea here is to restrict the comment spam.

The header of the document must include Meta entries for keyword and its descriptions. However, it is believed that the keyword Meta entry puts little or no weight on the giant – Google, but is still helpful when other search engines are concerned. One should also make it sure that the title of the document should have the most important keyword and key-phrase, as Google sees this with its special eyes. The keyword needs to be placed in the H1 and H2 header entries, and also once bold, once italic and maybe, also in the URL.

However, you should be assured that such articles back-link to your websites. If you are tired about submitting your articles on other websites, you may end up with a plagiarism problem and then you are put at risks of getting panelized by search engine as duplicated content website.

It is observed that your website vies with many other websites on the same keyword or key-phrase. So, it is better to find less competitive keyword/keyphrase and then optimize few of the webpages on those keywords in spite of optimizing your entire website. In order to get good PageRank in Google, you should try including some outbound links to higher quality websites in each of your documents. You may get surprised that having a high ranking for your home page is not just enough! Google gives different Page Ranking to different web-pages and therefore, once the website is built the way you want, you should keep on getting other websites to link to inner pages and sections of the website too. For instance, if you own a huge website and are able identify segments those differ from each other, try to improve a PageRank for these sub-directories that correspond to those sections accordingly. This will improve the page rank overall.

You should have every web-page linking to many other web-pages on your website (it is technically known as cross linking). This would be particularly helpful to balance the PageRank all over different pages of your website. In addition, it will also help the internet users to search related content on your website quite easily.
